Mama Ponder has done done it agin!

Mama Ponder ran another one of her infamous "jerk and smack it!" operations the other day while she was cooking spaghetti and meat sauce fer supper.  Her and Dorey's meat sauce, like everythang else that comes out of their kitchen, will make your tongue flap your brains out. 

 When we sat down to eat, her and Dorey were the first to take a bite of it.  Well, Mama Ponder's ears turned red and her chickapenny eyes opened real wide and Dorey wrinkled her nose and gave a "Whew!" or two and said someth'n like, "My God, this is hot!"  Dorey began sweat'n like a hog in November....Mama Ponder never sweats.  Mama Ponder said, "This is burn'n my dadblame ears!" I thought it tasted great, different than what they normally make fer sauce, but still great.

As they tried to figure out what happened, the answer soon came to me.   I use mild or medium salsa on several dishes as ah dress'n fer my salad.  It beats other dressings by ah dad-gum mile and it don't contain nary bit of fat or cholesterol and it is also very tasty to boot.  The last jar I bought and stored in the 'corner' kitchen cabinet was medium hot salsa.  Both Dorey and Mama Ponder have a very low tolerance fer hot peppers.  The problem is the salsa comes in tall round glass jars that look almost exactly like Ragu jars of spaghetti sauce.  Well, Mama Ponder, bless her heart, had gone to the corner cabinet all at a dash and spied the salsa jar and ah thank'n it was the spaghetti sauce, jerked it out and smacked the contents into the pot on the stove and mixed in the other ingredients that her and Dorey normally add to the Ragu Spaghetti Sauce to pep it up a tad.  She was in too big ah dad-burn hurry to read the label.

So, except fer the one serv'n each of them had, I had all of that left over delicious spaghetti and meat sauce fer several days fer lunch.  That is the only one of Mama Ponder's "jerk-and-smack-it" operations that I have actually enjoyed.  hohoho
